Two Angels Doing Poorly After Moving Tanks
I moved two of my 5 angels from their 55g heavily planted home to a 30g tank. I hoped to breed them as they were laying eggs in the 55g but they were just getting eaten by someone else.
Now, one seems to be holding on okay, the other not so well. They are now back in their "home" tank.
Here is the sequence of events:
So, now what? What did I do wrong and what should I do now? I've been keeping fish actively for 7 years and just now wanted to get into breeding these two. Maybe it was a bad idea! :-?
I think they were scared. next time add some water, gravel, filter wool/whatever from the old tank; remember to cycle the tank!
(maybe add some plants and decor to make them fill at home).
Please don't give up!
The female was dead this morning when I checked but the male seems to be doing better. I hope he hangs on, at least...
