I think those are tubifex worms.
They are harmless- but having so many is a sign that there is WAY too much food for them in your substrate. I'd clean out the gravel really thoroughly.
If you have large fish, the fish will eat them, but clearly no large fish in this tank or they'd be gone.

Thank you! Yeah, I dont gravel clean bc it's a planted tank with over half the substrate being Flourite. The larger fish I have are rainbows but they stay up top, and rarely ever go that far down. I'm going to cut down on the fish food in the tank and hopefully this helps.

I'd suck them up with a gravel vacc where ever you can. They'll keep reproducing for a long time.
Unless their nastiness doesn't bother you that is!
