goldfish acting different
I have had the same goldfish for about four years now. he used to have a friend but it died so it has just been him for two years now. Normally my goldfish is absolutely crazy and swimming all over non stop. However, I recently bought another goldfish just like him only a little bit smaller and put him in the 25 gallon tank with my fish. At first they seemed fine, but this morning I woke up and fed them. The new fish was eating just fine, but the old fish wouldn't swim out of the corner or eat. he just kind of sits there and looks confused or sick. then the little new fish will come underneath the old fish sometimes and i'm not sure if sometimes he bites him but sometimes he just kind of pushes him from underneath. I have no idea what's going on but I absolutely love my old fish and i have no idea what to do. please help :(

What is your tank size?
Your parameters, ph, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? What is your water hardness?

Do you have any other tanks to put the new goldfish in? It sounds like the new goldfish may be the problem, whether it be a disease or ammonia levels..

We do need a bit more information before we can help you. I'm inclined to think ammonia spike from a new goldfish, but it could be the new goldfish brought in a disease as is very common with goldfish. Please copy this post and answer the questions in this thread:
