Im sorry.

Do you know the water paremeters? Or do they look like they have any "defections" of some sort? Or are they just breathing hard?

If they look like they are in pain, then I would euthanize them. (I think that is the word).

There is a sticky'd thread on what is the most hummane way to do it.

she empties her entire tank out once a week

oops sorry i thought it was your tank  the full tank changes could also be stressing out her fish, the cold could also be effecting them, betta like warmer temperatures. are there any other visable signs? eg little white spots, loss of colour?
