Redone 55 with live plants
well for christmas i got a new stand for my 55 and had to do the whole move everything around deal. but it was worth it because now i have a clean slate and ive used it to my advantage to put in some REAL plants and new fish.
Heres the tank before i added water and decorations:
Aaaand heres after:

I added 2 amazon sword plants, 2 jungle vals, a banana plant and an aponogeton bulb. im happy to say the aponogeton is sending up the little V (im at a loss for a name here, will someone help me?) out of the water and the amazon swords both have little baby plants coming off of them ( about 10 total). Any CC is welcome, please excuse the bareness its got some filling in to do. Thanks :D :D

I actually use nothing for my plants and they all do well. Some have even recovered from being a mess in the store to being nice healthy plants in my tank. This is most probably down to luck and nothing else, but based on this i would say root tabs will be sufficient.

Tank is starting to look nice. What are you going to put in it?

umm im just going to transfer what was in it, and then add a shoal of tiger barbs and finish out some shoals that arent big enough like my black skirt tetras. maybe ill get an otto or something. does anyone know if my plecos will eat my plants? i have a common pleco and a rubber lip.

Well i got things transfered today because my readings were all pretty much 0. i also bought a yoyo loach, he seems very active and really cool :D

Starting to look very nice. I like the natural look.

Any changes in a full-tank view?
