Seachem Onyx Sand

I started my tank with bright blue gravel and I'm not satisfied with it. I've been looking at Seachem Onyx Sand because I would like a black sand and I have real plants. Has anyone used this and will it work okay?

You will need to add a supplement such as laterite to ensure good plant growth. Sand, itself, cannot absorb andstore nutrients for your plants.
