i have 2 1g tanks with 1 mail betta in each can i put white clouds in. if so, how many. also do they need a filter or will an airstone do???
Re: white clouds?
I think White Clouds would need a filter as well.
i think a filter would be safest. and if you wanted to add anything in with your bettas you need to get at least a 5-10 gallon tank. sorry
10g is minimum for a small group of white clouds.
i would sugest getting a 10 g. because:
1 your betta should have more room than just 1 g.
2 there is no way you can fit anything in with the betta
3 you can enjoy more fish!
4 your betta will thank you for the space and the friends. [/i]
I tried a 10 gallon with a betta, 3 white clouds and 2 cories. The betta constantly chased the other fish kept them from food. I finally put the betta in his own tank and went with 5 white clouds and three cories in the 10 gallon.
White clouds are a very active fish. In my opinion, a 10g is too small. A tank with a footprint of at least 24"x12" would be the better choice. This is the footprint of a 29g or a 2g long. One may be able to make do with a 15g but that would be a bare bones minimum.
