NEW 30 Gallon! So I got a new 30 gal COMPLETE setup....FREE!!! It has a filter for a 75 gallon tank. Could I keep a couple of blood red parrots, with a bushy nose pleco in there??? I know you are all probably going to tell me no but it can't hurt to ask! Thanks! :-D |
Have you read up on the blood parrots? I myself wouldn't go anywhere near a fish with so many potential problems but if you really wanted a pair then maybe look into a 40 or 50 gallon to give them some swimming space - a bristlenose will do fine with anything you choose as long as the tank mates are young enough to not try to eat it, a lot of pet stores sell BN at 1-2inch in length and if you got adult parrots that could end badly Do some research before you decide Blood Parrot Cichlid Blood parrot cichld - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia All about "blood red parrot cichlids" - Aquarium Advice - Aquarium Forum Community Red parrot cichlid care with pictures |

Could I do one with maybe some rainbows?? I realy want a dojo loach too but I have read they need bigger tanks.... |
Dwarf neon rainbows would be great in a 30gal, and if your unsure about a dojo then how about a group of kuhli loaches? Get sand as a substrate with a few live plants 5ish kuhli loaches and neon rainbows will leave you room for a couple other types of fish as well and would look great |
