serpea tetras and discus
 

does any body have any experience with serpea tetras, i have 10 of them and planing to get discus, i heard that they might be agresive to wards long fin fishes

Don't. Discus are sedate fish that need peaceful quiet fish for tankmates. And this is certainly not Serpae Tetra. They are notorious as fin nippers. Read more in our profiles, c lick the shaded names.

I understand the Serpae are a lot like the Bleeding Hearts. I have Bleeding Hearts and they're evil little buggers!

they are not compatible in my opinion ive had serpae's and they are like mini piranhas, very nippy. if you do however end up putting together it would help to have a large school 15+ to ease aggression.

Definately not a good mix there. My serpaes were little terrors until I added 8 tiger barbs to the tank. The barbs showed them what was what :)

i took them out today out of my tank,i will try to get red phantom tetra ,they look really nice

Not if you still want discus. And here it is the temperature. Discus must have warmth, around 82F. Red phantom need it much cooler, even less than many other "tropicals". Check the profile.;-)

Hahaha, same here. I put the serpaes in the tiger barb tank - the barbs immediately let them know who was in charge. They killed one of the tetras in the initial meeting, and then the fighting stopped.
