How do you treat crayfish/snails for diseases?

I was wondering how to treat my crayfish, and my apple snails for diseases? Salt harms snails, and most medicines will kill most inverts....

So, how are you supposed to treat for diseases? Or parasites? My problem is parasites.

My crayfish eats my dead fish, could he be internally infected?

In my experience they do not get diseases that are treatable. There are VERY few fish diseases that affect inverts - none that I can think of. So, those meds are useless on inverts anyways.

Aside from being aquatic bulldozers, crayfish are also garbage disposals. I would not be worried about parasites.

Great! Thanks. That's another relief! I have them seperated, but would really like them to help me cycle my new tank...as long as they aren't infected, I should be good to go, right?
