Yellow Crypts

so i am fairly new to the whole planted thing... And about a week ago i bought some amazon swordds, some crypts, and some grassy thing. Well the swords are doing great, there still red so im guessing there is enough iron in the water.. And one plant is even getting a new leaf.. But my crypts are yellowing and dying... I know crypts sometimes melt...but dosent a week seem like a long time to melt?? Idk..

Melting is a common thing for crypts apparently, they are plants that are good for not requiring much attention once established but don't like to be messed about, uprooted etc. So the trauma of moving into a new tank, different water, temp etc. can cause the melting and dying off. But from what I have read, they should grow back. Just give them some time.

I recently added about 5 crypts to my tank and have only noticed a few leaves melting and dying off. But I guess they are all different.

I am sure they will be fine.

I agree, at this stage being new plants I would not try anything, just let them settle.

Are you using any fertilizers, and if so, which and how often?

Not my first choice, but stay with it. The crypts and other new plants have to settle, that taqkes a few weeks. At the end their growth response will tell you if something is lacking.
