water question

Is 5 dgh kh considered acidic? Is it acceptable for platys?

That value is not a measure of pH. Your water is moderately hard, but this says nothing about the pH. Hard and alkaline water usually go hand in hand, but not always. You need to test the pH to know the answer to your question.

Platys should be in 10-25 dgh kh. I don't know about the acidic water though.

I thought kh was a measure of acid/alkaline. I need to reread my info.
