Hydra control

In my 15 gallon tank I have a huge hydra problem.. I've never really cared as they're no threat to what's in that tank. They seem to erupt in population everytime I do a water change...
Well today I noticed on in my new 20 gallon tank, where my shrimp are, and I know that they are a huge threat to baby shrimp. I did do a small water change yesterday.
I know that they are probably doing so well because planted tanks have lot's of tiny things that they eat naturally, but now I have to protect my future baby shrimp..
So what can I do? Will larger snails eat them? I've heard certain fish eat them, but my betta don't eat them. I'm planning on small rainbows for this tank and I don't know if they'd eat them. :-(

Have you read this link.on them? Aquarium Pest Hydra - How to Combat the Aquarium Pest Hydra Might be of some help??

Thank you! I've always been scared they'll sting me, haha. I'll try removing them by hand first. I really don't have anywhere to put the shrimp if I did something to the tank.
I do have pond snails in there too, so maybe they'll help me out a bit.
I'm guessing I got them from my 15 gallon since I moved some plants over. :/

Yeah you probably did get them in there from pulling stuff out of your other tank.

In the 15 gallon. No threat as far as I know.
