Male Platys

I have three male platys and wish to increase them by seven more male platys. Is this a bad Idea? I do not wish to breed them; hence my thoughts about all male platys. Would they fight among themselves?

How big is your tank? That might make a difference. All fish fight for dominance, but I shouldn't last more than a few days. Platies are pretty mellow in my experience but, make sure there is enough space and hiding places for the less dominate ones to hide.

Its a 75 gallon with 17 fish. 1 gourami, 3 platys, 6 albino cats, 6 ottos and 1 betta.
The tank contains 10 plants, 2 pieces of driftwood and 3 rocks.

With that big a tank and plenty of places to hide, you'll probably be okay. However, this is one of those cases where you probably just have to try it and see. You'll still get squabbles, but as long as the submissive fish has a place to retreat, it should be okay.

ok,
I will plan on introducing more of them in about a week or two.
