Whats best?

i want to put plants in my 29 gallon however, i had a disaster with live plants in my 8 gallon, they carried snails ( i was to trusting of the sails person who assured me i didnt have to wash them) and they just kept on falling apart, so what is better live or fake plants. firts of all i just dont understand the whole care thing of live plants yet i know they have alot of benefits , i am also to worried about snails, and i know there is something you are meant to soak it in yet im still worried about snails :( . And what about fake plants what are the best to use and are they worth putting in? thanks for the help (and sorry about all the questions)

hi
never worry about asking questions. :)
you could use both if you wanted to,
try going for an easy plant, like Villas, they are pretty hardy,
snails will only multiply if there is an abundance(sp) of food,
you can always remove and dispose of them.

ok thanks :D, is there a ceartain amount that i can only add, and if i put to many real plants in could that mean that some would die because they cant get enough light etc like non aquatic plants (i hope you understand what i mean lol)

hi
start off with about a hand full, get them planted,
then over the course of time, add some more,
i think that you will be able to judge for yourself when you have enough,
take a step back from the aquarium and you will either think......
yeah that's cool looking,or........hmmmmm couple more will
be just right.you could always buy some plant ablets,
you place them in the gravel next to the plant and it will
feed them.
take a look at other threads here,as there should be some
good advise on easy to care for plants, you can add some
different plants which will give extra cover.
:)
