Overfeeding and underfeeding in the same tank.
In one tank i have 10 neon tetra's, 2 frogs, 2 upsidedown catfish, 4 guppies, and 2 Barb fish. I feed my fish frozen bloodworms, and when i feed them, the neon tetra's go for it fast, not letting the other fish have very much. When there is not food left, the neon tetra's have Extreamly big stomacs, and all the other fish don't look like they have had enough.
I am afraid that the neon tetra's will die from overeating, and all the other fish die from undereating. :BIGweepy:
Please help! :thankyou:
Try dropping some food in at one end of the tank. Once they're occupied drop some more food in at the other end. Do you feed any other types of food? I will sometimes feed a mix of flake and sinking pellets. The flakes float at the top and the pellets will slowly sink so the fish can feed at different levels.
Thank you! i will definatelly try useing your advice! I tried useing dried bloodworms, but the neon tetra's would flout almost to the top, an struggle to get back down, but your idea to put some food at one end and then some at the other end is really good, but i might have to wait a bit to try, they look like they are going to explode! thank you! :BIGhappy:
