Neon tetra Fungal or ? Hi everybody, I am having a bit of trouble here, as my Neon tetra - around 5 of them has white stuff on their body, I am sure it's not ich. I've been using Pimafix and Melafix ( for 7 days, and now I have started to use them again, now it's up to the 3rd day), and keep maintaning the water in a good condition. I have also put them into a small tank and use Wardley Promethyasul for 2-3 days, as I see them not so happy there so I put them back (was few weeks ago.) I was trying to take photos, but they move too quick...so here is the video... I don't very know if it's fungal or not, they all active and seemed happy...it has been more than a month now.. Would be appreciate if anybody can help me out! Thank you! |
If they've had it for a month, then it's not Neon Tetra Disease. That's a good thing. The fact that they are still eating is also a good thing. Some bacterial infections can look like fungal infections. I would start treating with maracyn and maracyn II, to treat for gram positive and gram negative infections and see from there. |
Thanks Jaysee!! I just noticed that the video link is not likable - here is the link, Neon tetra Problem - YouTube I have plants in my tank - will the meds you've suggested above have impact on them? |
Hmmm, maybe third time's the charm... |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhuHF...ature=youtu.be how come sometimes the link appear and sometime it doesn't?... |
Can you see that? Hope you don't mind, I cleaned this topic up a little bit. ~Redchigh |
The tail looks like nipping that's gotten infected. The other - I don't know.... a tumor? It's got some disfigurement - Were it mine, I would euthanize the fish. |
