my three-spotted gourami questions
I have 1 pink gourami, 2 female and 1 male three spotted gourami in my fish tank, but why my three spotted gourami still do not breed? They already mature I think, maybe the 2 female are aggressive? :/
Maybe your conditions in your tank are not ideal for breeding. Do you have floating plants for them to blow bubble nets? Are your water parameters correct and consistant? Sometimes that "match made in heaven" just doesn't happen. Why are you hoping they will breed? Is there a large market for them by you?
welcome to the forum
Many fish have to be conditioned to breed, either with foods or changes in water parameters.
Is the tank large enough to breed them?
Also, I would remove the pink gourami if you intend on breeding the 3 spots.
Oh,I just know the main reason why my three spotted gourami cant breed, just because the pink gourami,if the pink gourami become bigger,my these three spotted would eaten by it. I will try to remove it if possible.
But I wonder my water in the fish tank always got green algae bloom too fast,my filtration cant clean up the green water completely :/
The pink gourami isn't going to eat the 3 spots.
Unless your filter has a built in UV lamp, it is not going to do a thing for the green water. The green killing machine is terrific for green water.
Should I need to make 60% water change, then wrap the tank with garbage bags and let it sit in a black out for 1 or 2 days. Meaning no lights, not feeding fish, nothing. My fish will be fine, as being in the dark will help them not be stressed. After unwrap it, i will do a small water change and start to plant more aquatic plants that buy from the fish pets shop to provide the place for hiding, and make my fish tank look more natural and they can breed safely :)
The larger the water change, the more effective the blackout will be as you will have less algae to kill off.
Do you know why you have green water? If the root cause is not addressed, it can just keep coming back.
because my fish tank got too much sunlight and my fish tank was in outdoor(but not too exposed under the sunlight)..i should wrap it with the garbage plastic in the day and unwrap it in the night..good thinks :)
