serpae tetras?

I just got 5 serpae tetras yesterday... Is this enough to keep them happy? And I've noticed that two of them have the black dots on their sides and three of them don't? Well one of the three kind of has it. At first I thought maybe it was a sex difference? But I've looked it up and thats not it. Does anyone have any idea why my guys don't have the black dots? Are they still really young or something? Also, I fed them this morning and they didn't take flakes off the top. But rather the leftovers floating down from the swords eating. Do I need some kind of tetra food now?

I don't know about the dot thing, but you shouldn't have to worry about it.

My Neon tetras do not go to the top of the tank when I feed them either. They just stay near the bottom and get whatever is left over. Don't worry about that.

I would get at least 1 or 2 more Tetras to keep them happy. They like groups of 6 or more.

Good to know thanks! :) How can I be sure they are getting enough though? My swords are sooo greedy. Do you think they would eat sinking pellets? I'm going to grab some today for the corrys so I figure the might eat it right?

I think they would. Tetras are usually really laid-back, so they just grab what they want as it floats to the bottom.
