What am I? I just bought 5 corys today. They are awesome, so cute and full of energy. The only problem is I have no idea what kind they are :dunno: They were sold to me as punctatus cory cat. I realize I probably should have asked but it was boxing day and I was just fed up and wanted to get out of there. These were the best pictures I could get... I don't get it? Before I thought my camera was really crappy but I just got a 600 dollar camera so maybe I'm just bad at taking pictures? http://fishforum.com/userpix/2862_cat1_1.jpg http://fishforum.com/userpix/2862_cat2_1.jpg http://fishforum.com/userpix/2862_cat3_1.jpg http://fishforum.com/userpix/2862_cat4_1.jpg |
Could be Corydoras melanistus or so I can remember but I could be wrong.:? |

I'd get the remaining two for sure.:) |
Awesome, I will do that then. I hope they are still there!!! *fingers crossed* I'm having trouble finding information on these guys... Is there anything I should know? Will they get any bigger then 5cm in my 28 gallon? How do you sex a cory? Is it even possible? Really sorry about all these questions, but I have a new favorite fish! They are such a treat to watch. I realize I need sinking pellets but have you ever had your corries accept flakes? I'm a bit worried about whats going to happen when it's feeding time. My swordtails as so greedy and I have trouble feeding my snail and shrimp because the swords just beat them up and take the algae wafer. Suppose I fed the swords then while they are busy eating tried to get the corries to eat? Thanks again!!! |
they should grow to about 2", the pandas a bit smaller. The females are rounder and bigger. Mine love flakes, brine shrimp, bloodworm, algae wafers, pelets, anything really. They're not fussy eaters from my experience. Nice additins bTW. |
2"??? AWESOME!!! I thought they would get bigger then that!! :D I'm soaking some blood worms right now so I can feed them.. They are all swimming together and they look pretty happy... All but one? He doesn't look ill.. As in I don't think he has a disease but since I added them one hasn't been doing so well. And it looks like he is missing a bit of the top of his back fin? Is it possible my swords are being jerks??? They make me mad! I have a picture of him, although I don't think it will help.. This picture was taken a second before the swordtail (also in the picture) attacked him :( http://fishforum.com/userpix/2862_cat_1.jpg My serpae tetras fins look pretty beat up too. I noticed that as soon as I added them to the tank though.... I hope I don't have fin rot?? |
Your sword's fin-nip at all? |
