10 Gallon - Guppies
I have a 10 gallon tank currently cycling and I was wondering if it's compatible with guppies. If so, how many could I have with 4 panda cories? I'm using an Aqueon Quietflow 10 power filter, a 50 Watt Aqueon Pro Heater, it's well planted, and has black sand as the substrate. My water's pH is 7.2 and it's hardness is 75.
I'm also wondering what I should be looking for when choosing the fish? I'd bought a couple small groups at different times when I had another 10 gallon set up around a decade ago and they never lasted more than three days. The difference between my current tank and my old tank is the brand, Aqueon vs. Top Fin, it had gravel as the substrate, and only one plant and one decoration.
Thank you for your input.
I have 5 male guppies and 3 glass cats in my 10 gallon, I know I am a little over stocked but the guppies don't bother the glass cats and with my 40%-50% water change every week the water stays balanced and every one seems to get a long just fine. it my pirate tank if you wanna take a look.
Nice tank! How big will your cats get?
between 4 and 6 inches, I will be setting up a 75 gallon sometime next year and will move them into there (add at least 3 more as well). but they all seem to get a long just fine. you need to get some pics and videos up of your tank =)
What are the pH and hardness of the water you use?
