Giday Joe. Not suppose to link you from here but it also seems a waste of time time to paste a whole heap of info. in here. Best bet is to go to planet catfish L#'s list & look them up one by one. You'll find all the info. you need there on each particular sp.
Can get to about 10 inches. Pretty big fish!T hese plecos have two horn-like thingys from their head that are actually nasal flutes. The also have alligator-like ridges along the sides of their body. colors range from a rich black to a brown. Eats variety of food like many other plecos. MOst plant will be eaten or uprooted in the aquarium... Generaly peaceful fish but can be aggresive to other bottom feeders.
L177 Iriri Yellow Seam
Can get to about 8 inches. Needs MINIMUM 40 gallons tank but i suggest more than that.is an omnivore. Will eat some algae, veggies but also provide frozen insect larva and dry food for balance. Compared to a regular gold nugget pleco this one's spots are more rich and yellow.
L106 Spotted Orange Seam Pleco
Can get to about 6 inches. Eats mostly bloodworms and larvae/pupa. The natural habitat of this fish is crevices on rocky bottom. Has higher body then the similar pleco L122.
L011 Red Fin Thresher
Can get to about 15 inches in length. WOW...This fish is widespread threw the amazon and has many other L numbers in it's species. Can be most readily distinguished by its long crescent shaped caudal fin which has a red or orange outer margin. Omnivore so it eats mostly all greens, such as cucumber etc...This fish likes to swim in and out of spaces fast. good addition to a south african cichlid tank. Good addition to an aquarium.
L182 Green starlight Bristlenose
Gets about 10 inches when fully grown. lhas ight white pinprick spots and a small dark marking just behind the base of the leading dorsal spine. Typical for the genus with males possessing the so-called 'bushy nose'. Females also may have much smaller growths on the head but to a much lesser extent.
L172 golden hederone vampire
all I really know about this one is it gets about 8 inches. And has a lot of white spots on it's body. Sorrry I'm not much of a help on this one :(
Hope this helps you out :D

Yep no problem...
Please give credit to where you get info like that from Nick, Jools worked very hard on that site, and deserves it.
Flash and Queen arabesque (AKA scribble) are 2 little guys that are very nice on the eyes. You could also get an L046 Zebra as most are 5" or less. There are a tone of pleco nuuts arriving daily to the forum. You'll get more answers.
What do you mean by that? Also who is Jools, Just wondering :D I dont know who i have to give credit I just put the L numbers in at planetcatfish and did that. Just trying to help him out ;)
What do I mean by what? Very vague. I could get into trouble answering that open ended question.
But I like getting in trouble.
By the tone of Joes last response he seemed inclined to keep smaller plecos. I was adding to his list of options.
Who is Jools? He is one of the most respected catfish authorities. He and Shane rock the world.
Where you asking about who or why so many pleco nuts are joining? Take a look around and you'll notice that about 20 new memebrs have all joined and have serious pleco backgrounds.
