Guppies in breeder box/fry trap, how long?
So I picked up a few more females to balance out my breeding tank and one of them was already very pregnant. Put her in a fry trap and she ended up birthing 20-30 fry.
I plan on holding the box under the filter at least once a day to flush out stale water. Pretty sure I've seen other people raise the fry most of the way in the small box. Is it possible to keep them in there as long as their growing size fits? I'm not sure when I'll be able to pick up an actual fry tank.

I wouldnt leave them in the trap at all. Its probably the most frightening thing for fry seeing big fish swimming around them with no place to hide. If it were me i would buy fast growing plants such as hornwort so the fry have a place to hide. Or a cheaper way is to buy nylon pot scrubbies and undo them, leave them on one side of the tank.
