Amazon Swords in Spring
My Amazon Sword plants are sending up shoots to the surface. I cut them off the last time, but this time I buried one and they are growing. Should I cut off the buried shoot from the mother plant?
Any info about amazon sword plants will help, cause thats all I got.
20gal, sand substrate, 20 tetras, 6 mini corys, 1 betta...Thanks
I'm new here and trying to get my bearings. I got alot from the published post....and want to read the threads about my plants. Thanks to all...I hope to share more, but my camara is a piece of junk, and can't take pictures of my tank. I know alot about aquariums but some things I've never seen before.
I'll refer you to the plant profiles as they will provide you with lots of info on the plants and answer your question. Profiles are under the second tab from the left in the blue bar across the top of the page, and there is a section for plants, with 4 divisions; sword plants will be in the substrate-rooted plant section. Several species are included, with photos.
You may have noticed that Amazon Sword was shaded in your fist post, as it did here too. This happens when the name (common or scientific) is the same in a post as in the profile, and you can then click on the shaded name to pop-up that profile.
If you still have questions after the profile, ask away.
Lastly, as you mention you are new here, welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.:-D
