Is she in fact pregnant? And if so, when do they normally develop the black spot? How much time will I have after it appears until the fry are dropped? I want to get more moss of some kind (I have hornwort but not a whole lot) so the fry can hide from the other fish in the tank.

they carry for approx 4 weeks, balloon mollys are not easy to tell if their pregnant. there are tell tale signs that you will pick up along the way. Good luck
