I heard that breeding brichardis is pretty easy. I don't know if this is true, but do I have to do anything special or give them a cave or anything like that for them to breed?
Try adding an inverted clay flower pot, it can sometimes help.
Bare in mind though a breeding pair are extremely territorial and can quite easy claim even a tank as big as 75g their own when breeding or with fry.
These fish are best kept in a species only tank and certainly only one pair unless the tank is 180g+
My Pulchers dug a pit between the rear wall and a stack of rocks. They may consider it a cave.
Another couple is courting about eight inches over, and the odd guy out is penned in a corner. I'll move him when I can without annoying the parents.
50 gallons, sand substrate with shells, rocks and valisneria, Java Fern and Hornwort.
