Can a Moonlight gourami eat an adult guppy??

Hi I have had 2 adult guppys completely vanish over the space of a couple of nights and I have searched everywhere inc the filter, plants, rocks ect and there is no trace of them (not even little bones) I have had them and the gourami (the biggest fish in the tank) for ages and the only thing I can think of is that he has ate them??

To answer your question, yes, a mature Moonlight Gourami could easily eat small fish. If you check our profile (click the shaded name) it mentions that the gourami attains 6 inches and will likely view small fish as food. It also mentions some suitable tankmates (provided you have sufficient tank space of course).

Byron.
