Amazon themed vivarium

I have a 72 gallon reef aquarium and am currently in the process of setting up a planted 10 gallon biotope tank for my brother. I would like to try my hand at a new project but I doubt my parents will let me bring any more animals into the house. I did some research and realized that a vivarium is probably my best option. I am completely new to this field so any information you might have to share would be extremely useful. The biggest tank that is feasible for me to purchase is 30 gallons and I would like to keep the cost under 100$ if at all possible. my hopes were that I could do an amazon themed vivavrium with plants native to the amazon rain forest. I figured I could either try some water features or incoperate some reads branches in the landscape and grow moss and some of the hanging lilies on them. Let me know what you think

Seems legit, start working on it and post pics, I'll help if you get stuck. You can use bromeliads for plants.

The thing is I literally know nothing about this. Like do I need special lighting and what should I use as a substrate?

I wrote for another member on the forums there. All the info I gave him is good to go for you to.

Wait s just to clairify something you guys were talking about a false bottom in the other thread. What is this and why do I need one for a terrarium?

To keep the water away from the substrate.

Okay but how do you make one?
