Bumblebee Gobies Cave Size ?
I'm creating some caves and structures for some Bumblebee Gobies (which I plan to get soon), using slate tiles.
How big, or small of a cave do they need? For how small they are, the caves that I'm making are about 1" wide x 1.5" deep x 1" high.
I'm not sure if they need it close to how small they are, or if they need it bigger.
The attached picture is what I have so far... still messing with it.
Nice Scaping job right there.
Figure his max size, he's only going to be 1.5" in length.
I have 1 in my 75g and actually just bought 5 more today that are going to be acclimated. Your setup will work great, good job by the way!
The only problem with this setup is if you end up with eggs, how will you remove them from the main tank? They'll be in a cave in the middle of that structure and the fry will probably be eaten before you know they even hatched. If you don't care about that, then it's a nice setup.
