Canister Bio-Balls!?
 

I always assumed bio-balls only worked in a sump.

But I just came across these

I further looked and some of Marineland's Canister filters actually come with this already. Do you think these could replace the ceramic bio filter things made by fluval?

I use these in my Magnums. They create additional area for bacterial growth wihout restricting water flow. Great product.

I use them in my Fluval 404.
