Bala's head turned white 'Sup fellas, I just got on the forum. My bala's got a problem. His head turned white. I've got no idea why. His brother's fine, normal colored. Both are active, eating, and not doing anything too weird. His head is just white. 55 gal freshwater (duh) w/ 2 balas, 2 tiger barbs, 2 redtails, and 2 goldfish. Tank's still going through its break-in. Goldfish have been in about 5 weeks, the others probably 3. |

What are your water parameters? Determine ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and ph using API liquid test kit. Test your tapwater as well. What is your tank maintenance schedule? I mean how often you replace your water and how much water is being replaced. When did you set up the tank? Any pictures of the bala's head? I'll need pictures to be able to determine the cause. Please answer my questions so we can help you further.:) |
Here's a picture, I'll get the tests when I go to the fish store later today. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...92007_9_47.jpg |
Oh, and it's growing crazy fast. Would that have something to do with it? |
Growing? I still could not figure out what it is without a close-up picture. Is it fuzzy? You need to answer some of my questions posted above. |
