I came back to the basics and will climb the ladder on how to take care of fishes.
Currently my monster fishes are doing fine, so I came back to basics by breeding guppy's and molly's.
I never tried this yet and I just had a pregnant molly give birth to just 4 fry's last night, maybe I was not keen enough that the other's were eaten by the roommates.
Can a molly/guppy get pregnant right after giving birth? Because I just saw my male molly mating with the female just an hour ago. While I was observing them.
How will I know if my molly is pregnant already? I've done some research, just need to clarify things out.
Should I separate the 2 molly in a different tank (breeding tank)? and how long will it take for the female to give birth if pregnant?
Livebearers can actually store sperm. After a single mating they can keep dropping eggs for around 8 months. They are pretty much always pregnant.
If you feel the male is harrassing the females, I'd separate them if you only have one male. Multiple males with no females will fight each other.
