I have only just got my first tank up and running and i brought some decent size fish from a dude who was changing his tank about and also another fish from the shop so i know i got 4 malawi's, but would like to know what species they are too..

but this other fish i dont know what it is.... can anyone help me out??

i have never seen that fish in my life. where did you get it?

My guess would be a Jack Dempsey, it's in our profiles listed above.

from my local aquatic shop... the jack and the little black stripey have been at each other for a couple of days..... but like them both so dont know whether to take him back and swap him for a few more malawi's??

what does anyone think about it... as i said i am a complete beginner to it all and any info would be good....

anyone know the names of my malawi's?

its a jack dempsey
the others are a electric yellow for sure, a blue dolphin and the other looks like a mix breed of maingano and auratus

jack is a new world cichlid, and has different water parameters. that being said the choice is yours
