I have a 46Gallon, running with a fluval 304. Temperature generally is between 80 and 82.

I was planning to add,

6 Rosy barb
2 red gourami
2 yellow gourami
4 cories
2 rams (not sure what kind, but most likely german blue)
2 Angel Fish
4 serpae tetra
2 dwarf gouramis

Would i be overstocking my aquarium? If I am overstocking I can get rid of one yellow gourami, one dwarf gourami, unless they have to be in pairs. Let me know what needs to be in a pair, and what fish would be happy enough alone. I am open to suggestions on the configurations of these fish, I can add or remove certain fish completely if need be.

That's alot for a 46 gallon, I would probably go with out the angels, they are pretty aggressive.

Can you please post pictures of your "yellow gourami" and "red gourami"? I am assuming honey gouramis (Colisa sota) here. If so, they're fine. What genders are these dwarf gouramis? Pictures needed here as well.

There are only two types of rams: Microgeophagus altispinosa and Microgeophagus ramirezi. Either way is fine.

That's all I can see. Serpaes are the only problems here unless you have two male dwarf gouramis in which case remove one of them.

I do not have the fish yet. I am just contemplating what to load the aquarium with. I will only put three to four at a time.

Yes those would be the honey gouramis, and the red gouramis are blood red dwarf gouramis.

You can proceed to Characins section for a list of tetras and use the scientific names when googling for information. Your tank should be able to support 15 tetras depending on the species you get.

how about if i replace the rosy barbs, with 6 cherry barbs, get rid of the angels, and the serpae as well?

the configuration would look like

6 cherry barb
2 blood red dwarf gourami
2 yellow/honey gourami
4 cories
2 rams (not sure what kind, but most likely german blue)
2 dwarf gouramis (1 if its a male)
