Small unknown fish
While I am home for the holidays, I went to my mother's kingergarten classroom and fixed up her 10 gallon fish tank. It was in desperate need of help; there were no decorations, only gravel! I got a large "grotto" decoration and a few plastic plants and it really improved the tank.
The tank has 1 black and brown pleco, about 5 inches, what looks to be a male guppy and female fancy-tail guppy, and some other small fish that I can't identify. It may be a type of tetra. It is about 1 inch long and has black and white horizontal stripes across the whole length of its body. Here is a picture of it (sorry it is blurry):
Does anyone know what type of fish this is?
It looks to me like a zebra danio. They get about 1 1/2 inches long when full grown and they are very hardy.
yes that was exactly what i was thinking it is a zebra danio here is a picture of onehttp://fishforum.com/userpix/4184_Co...bs_zebra_1.jpg
This is what it looks like right?
Definitely zebra danio.:)
Thanks everyone. Yes, this fish definitely looks like a zebra danio. Its a little on the plump side, too, so I'm guessing its a female. Thanks for the help!
