Baby Fry Convict Cichlids
I have a 72 gallon tank with 8 adult Cichlids and 33 baby fry Cichlids. I was wandering why half look like the parents and the rest look nothing like the parents they are white in color almost transparent. Why is this I only have one kind of Cichlids in my tank.
would any of these convicts happen to be pink cons,or there is the chance that the have the pink gene in them from down the road.
No not that I believe. The females are Grey with black stripes and colorful bellies when mothering. The males are quite larger than the females and are also grey with black stripes.
what are you feeding them?i really think they have the pink gene though!
Hi there Frank thanks for replying to my questions. I tried taking a picture of my tank so you could maybe get a closer look at my babies. I do believe you might be right on the gene of pink cichlids. I hope this works, first time user I am!
the pink gene is ressesive but can i have a pair of cons who produce about 10 pinks in each brood of normals to get all pinks you would have to pair off to of the pinks.
female adults get a red belly in breeding condition but not all over
