Thanks for the suggestion, but we do have pretty good water flow, so that's not it either. Normally there is a fountain that keeps the top moving, which was temporary below the water line (that's been fixed, it just fell off the stand it was on) and there are also pumps that keep a good flow underwater. I added some new water lettuce yesterday and watched it just flow around for a bit, until it reached a point that it was out of the main flow. It was quite cute actually, just motoring right along... easily amused, I am.

Glad to hear you got some floating plants for your pond. Get them established and then you can start adding goldfish! That's the fun part
