Outdoor Pond Water Oxygen

Hello,

I bought a Whiskey Barrel (half) and am looking to put in fish and plants. From all the research ive done I should be able to do that no problem. My biggest question is, if I run a water pump and have water falling down like this picture, is that enough to oxygenate the water? Im wondering if I will have to place a tube underwater to allow it to bubble up, or if a waterfall that size will be good enough to oxygenate the whiskey barrel.

With that if it does oxygenate, does anyone know the calculations for how many fish I can add to the pond?

Also does anyone know of any good Solar Water pumps I can use for this setup?

Because of the small volume you won't be able to have many fish in there.

If the fish aren't gasping you shouldn't NEED an air stone, but I would run one in any tank or pond, it is better safe than sorry. The aeration and circulation they create are more than worth it. The last thing you would want is for the pump to stop running for some random reason and you lose all your fish because that was your only aeration and barely enough.

You may be able to put a couple fancy goldfish or other cool water fish like platies in there, but this will vary depending on where you live (they can stay out all year, just in the summer, or not at all).
