What would be a pond setup that would be perfect for the way you would keep your fish and the types of fish you keep?

Lets have some fun.

ive always played with idea of having a maybe 200 gallon in my backyard, we have a deck thats level with the ground and theres this perfect grass open square, id like a waterfall too. in the pond id probably have maybe 5 koi and of course there would be pond snails. the only problem is that ive never had the money for it, or the time for that matter . it would really be a great addition for my backyard, anyone else have anything??

The pond would be L shaped with each leg at least 20 feet long and 6 feet wide. There would be 1 central rock formation with water falling over 2 falls in the middle of the back with pumps pulling water from both ends. I would have a common pleco in it as well as crappie, blue gill, striped yellow perch, and Yellow Bullhead Catfish. It would be as deep as possible to make it up to 10 feet. Any other fish that could survive cold water winters would be added if possible unless I could heat it effectively then the fish list would change a lot.

A family friend has a pond that is pretty much what i would love to have. Its about 2000 gallons in the shape of a horseshoe. On the inside it has a slate patio that comes about a foot over the pond itself. A waterfall splits into about 6 streams at one corner of the yard where they go through an acre of garden and end as 3 streams entering the pond. In it are tones of various water plants along with different koi species. I would absolutely love to have a pond like that at some point in my life. Though in all fairness she owns her own landscaping company.

mine would be a bit out of the ordinary i would like to do a pond built like a small privet lake. it would hva a beack and 15 ft out would be 15 ft deep and it would be 50x50x15 ft deep. The only reason it would be this size would be:

1 i could scuba dive and snorkle in it.

2 i could house (possibly breeding pair) 2 aropaima gigas ( giant pirucu ) and they could grow to the full 15 feet 500 pounds then i could also have fish to breed as feeders and have my own portion of the amazon.

I think i changed my mind. I would have a moat that went all the way aorund my house that was 20 feet wide and at least 400 feet in diameter with spots that were as shallow as 3 feet and some as deep as 100 feet. This way I could keep Baramundi and sturgeon as well as a bunch of species that I can fish for and release or maybe get them to come up and eat out of my hand so I can play fetch with them. I would also have 4 huge waterfalls and 2 sections that run like a river.
