Blood worms are NOT mosquito larvae, they are midge larvae. Mosquito larvae are black.
I'm pretty sure there are certain pond plants that repel insects out of the water. BUT I'm not sure if that means you can have fish in with them, if that's what you want. Something to look into.

I wanted to add a bit about the mosquitofish (Gambusia spp). Despite their name, they aren't big predators of mosquitoes. They were introduced around the world as natural mosquito control, but actually caused more problems as don't eat a lot of mosquitoes but they do eat a lot of the same foods as the local fish. Some places have reported very negative impacts after introduction, and they are now considered a pest species.

The betta will take care of the mosquitoes no problem.

I just removed the big container, now I have to think where to place the snakehead and the oscar..



In my toilet I guess I have to buy more aquariums.. bummer,...
