Mine aren't. :(

I got the tank partially bc I enjoyed one as a kid, and partially bc I thought my two cats (age 9) would like them. They have no interest whatsoever! I guess it's because they're older; I had some kitten houseguests who couldn't get enough of the fish - they pawed at the tank, etc.

I guess older cats just prefer to sleep and cuddle with their human friends. :)

Neither are mine. The only interest ever shown is by my younger cat, and only when I'm doing a drip acclimation. I guess he figures that's the closest he will get to putting a paw on them.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

I have 2 cats. One couldn't care less. The other one (15 years old) loves drip acclimation too....too much. I don't trust her. With my 55g tank, when I'm around to watch I'll put a bar stool about a foot from the tank and she'll jump up and sit on the bar stool and watch all the fish while she purrs like crazy. She loves it. With my 5g in the living room, I'll pick her up and she'll sit in my arms for 10 minutes with her nose pressed to the glass to watch my betta. She paws at him and the betta comes right up to her and swims back and forth. It's quite entertaining until my arms feel like they're going to fall off.

This pic was taken right before I was getting ready to run the drip, and two seconds before I dropped the camera as he had both paws in the bucket going after my fish!

My mom's tonk and my brother's pound kitty both sit on top of my 10 gallon, dip their paws in, and drink the water. Strangest thing I've seen since I put the tanks in the living room.

I'm a spaz...
