They're adorable. I can see how they were hard to resist.

Did you get another tank too?

150 Gallon - Mostly American Cichlids
135 Gallon - Angelfish Community
75 Gallon - Odd couple (Polleni/Angelfish)
55 Gallon - African tank
20 Gallon Long - QT
10 Gallon - Empty

i can see why you chose the kittens,so adorable.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Did you check them for ear mites? The two cats I had for nearly twelve years hated me for using the ear mite medication but it brought them considerable relief.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

Thanks for the pointer.

I don't know to be honest, they've been checked over by the vet bt I don't know if he check for ear mites.

They don't scratch very much at all so I'm pretty sure there's not any but I'll have a look, are they obvious to spot?

They are due to be treated for fleas again soon - but that's just something I do regularly anyway (having 4 furry friends now have to keep them away!)

I had no clue as to what ear mites looked like still don't . It was in fact a vet that informed me . He gave me some drops to place in their ears (one or two drops per ear). The only thing I ever saw in the ear was a dark film almost like a dirty wax build up. As mentioned they hated it when I used the stuff but the scratching and then shaking of the head as though trying to shake out the source of irritation improved considerably so once every month , I subjected them to the treatment which they considered a great indignation.
