I can tell you from my exp that the larger group size you get to themselves (and proper larger tank of cause) the more fun they are to watch cause they show their natural behavior more & more.
I'd def go for live plants with them guys and if you'd like to add a "treat" offer them a hiding space such as a half coconut (can be found at the pet shop reptile section).
Be careful with them with filters they can get their lil legs stuck FAST in the intake, I had found it safer to use a sponge OR cover a normal filter with any piece fabric you have.
Also when they feel 'homy' they start this sound at night when everything is fully quiet & dark that I can only describe as singing frog
