new upcoming addition

So i recently purchased a twenty gallon tank on craigslist for twenty bucks...hopefully a good deal. plan on cleaning it some more (it just has some calcium on/in it). First i want to ask the best way to clean/disinfect this thing for a new pet. And finally i plan on getting an emperor scorpion. Hoping to slowly pick up the rest of what i need throughout this week to put its tank together and see where it goes from there...I'll try my best to post pics as i go.

wash with hot water and vinegar ... then wash again with hot water let it air dry and you should be good to go provided no one else used some kind of chemical in it... be sure to post pix when you get it all set up !!!

look forward to the pictures.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

You could also use a 1:10 bleach/water mixture. Then rinse with hot water and let it air dry. It's how I disinfect my reptile and arachnid cages, just make sure you rinse well.

Vinegar and water works well too, I just hate the smell of vinegar, it makes me sick so I avoid it.

Hope I helped.
