Anyone have a Bengal? Or many Bengals? Seen a Bengal or want to talk about Bengals? I thought a new thread for Bengals would be appropriate. I figure any comments/discussions about Bengals would do well on this forum.

Our Bengal is named Jags. He is alive today as a result of a rescue here in Northern California. He is a male, and is two years old. He was bottle fed at 3 weeks, so he is very friendly. Not to say non-bottle fed Bengals are mean, just less of attention hogs imo....

Jags loves WATER! He will jump in the shower if I don't close the door. He and his half Siamese brother Rufus love to drink out of the sink. If you ever have the chance to own one of these cats, I highly recommend it!

When I first read the thread title I thought someone had a tiger as a pet! LOL

He is very beautiful. I love his markings. I hadn't heard of a Bengal before. Is that a fairly recent breed?

The Bengal breed was created in the mid- 80's, however it was not introduced into the family home till the early nineties. Now days Bengals are more common, but they still run between $700 - $1500 if it has its papers. We got lucky on the rescued litter. Bengals are a direct ancestor of the Asian Leopard Cat.
