Guinea pig help!

My friends guinea pig was a dweeb and got a cut, but she keeps picking off the scab. She is taking it into the vet tomorrow, but for now I told her to wrap her foot in batting. Guinea pigs like to eat everything lol, so what can she put on there to deter the biting but not irritate the cut? Thank you so much![/list]

If an animal gets stiches and the vet wants to avoid them biting them they give them a collar that looks rather like a lampshade so that they can't get at them. She could try something like that until such time as she can get it to the vet perhaps?

I have always used a "pet wrap" for dogs and cats thats like a self sticking acce bandage but for animals.
