Getting a cat in the summer

My mom is getting me a cat in the summer time as a graduation gift. Right now I'm looking up animal shelters and things like that. I've experience taking care of cats before(because I would always watch my sisters cats before she gotten a apartment). I'm going to named it Misa. She might get it in May, but we'll see. In the meantime I'm just looking up nearby shelters. I'm looking for a cat that doesn't have special needs and it'd good with other cats. My mom is paying for insurance and everything. We got the basic stuff for it like food and litter box and things.

Wish me luck.

Good luck. If you wanna save a ton of money on cat toys give it trash to play with, my cats favorite toy is that plastic part you tear off of strawberry milk bottle or any crinkly plastic ring things like that from anything. Hes got 50 toys but prefers the trash. And ping pong balls, cats look so stupid knocking them around.

He also has a robo dwarf hamster as his pet that he tries so hard to catch through the glass, and a bunch of fish that he still thinks he can catch by reaching under or around the tank.

My cats favorite toy is a twist tie. Hundreds of dollars in toys over his life so far, and he loves twist ties. Go figure.

I already got toys for it that my sister left. Really I only have one and it those lasers. I sued that for the fish too when I fell like it lol.

Some people were iffy when I told them that. I took care of cats before and things like that so this isn't going to be the first time. lol

My one cat loves laser pointers too. Just be sure to use it on the carpet and don't point them directly at them. You can get bulk toys for cheap at PetSmart. Cats don't need a ton of toys. Maybe some bell balls, a few with cat nip in it, etc. I would definitely recommend a scratch post too. Expensive, but it will save your carpets and furniture!!

good luck with the search.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
