Family: Cichlidae

Scientific Name: Herichthys cyanoguttatus

Origin and Habitat: The only cichlid to reside in the United States. Though it is said to be rather aggressive my personal experience so far is that he has his grumpy days but is usually well behaved and coincides with the other fish well. Some may become very aggressive with age and will not tolerate any other fish as they become very territorial

Compatibility/Temperament: 4
