This is my leopard gecko Cuttos, she is about a year old now. She was only 3 inches when I first got her and now she is almost 6 inches. I love her. She has so much personality.
I love her tail but she is starting to lose her black dots. Which is normal, they usually change as they age.
Oh she is happy. The only thing she does not like is when I turn on the regular light for the tank. She always hides. But she doesn't mind the red heat lights on.
I know this summer I will be able to get a few photos of her for sure since we do not have central air and our house gets pretty warm so with the normal light on the tank will be warm enough for her.
Just want to tell you we have a female that look exactly like yours. Her name is Ringo. My daughter wants it to be a boy, but it's a female. They are full of personality. I've had lots of success breeding dubia roaches, which are high in protein and our leo loves them. Also mealworms, but roaches are best for them.
yes i 've kept leopard geckos over time, there is a thread on here
with pictures of mine, and befor i had those,i had a pair that i managed to breed
and incubate the young,it was an outstanding experiance, really it was !
to see that little critter come out of the egg is amazing.
I really want to. I know the local aquarium store near me is looking for a breeder. I also have a spare 10 gallon and 5 gallon tank with filters, heaters, gravel, etc.
Just been put to a hault, got an outbreak of ich in my tank
I already lost one fish yesterday my giant danio who was like 3 years old. Once I get this ich undercontrol and killed, I might think about breeding some. The store carries alot of different shrimp, they have snow ball shrimp, amano shrimp, wood shrimp, ghost shrimp, and sometimes crystal red shrimp, which now they are looking for a breeder of the crystal reds too.
gosh,what a lovely choice you have,mine only have bamboo,and ghost,and the other
one i go to sometimes have the cherry shrimp.
sorry about your danio.:-(
They always have a good supply of different species of fish, reptiles, birds, and others. I have 3 aquarium stores, 2 petsmart, 1 petco, 3 pet supply plus stores near me, so I always have a choice where to go.
It does have a nice selection. Just gotta look around for a local aquarium. None are like 10 minutes from my house, the closest is 20 minute drive for me.
It sucks that they are kinda that far, but at the same time I don't mind the drive it gets me out of the house. Except know the gas prices here are creeping up to $4.00 a gallon, and I drive a car that only gets 14mpg. I have been looking for something alot smaller.
Oh and the ick has fallen off my fish so it is in the gravel now. I have been gravel syphoning everyday. And now my ammonia is out of wack. It was reading 8ppm on my API Master Kit. Which 8ppm is way to high my fish would be dead. So I think something is acting up.
i've not been for a while, the last fish were gold tiger barbs, they seem to be
the sturdest fish,i;ve had in a long time.
are your tests still in date.
maybe it's the gravel being disturbed that's causing a bit of trouble.
I will test again once i get home from work, and test my tap water too. I have been using Ammo-lock which converts ammonia to the other one. But it will still read on the test. But still that seem really high.
