Hi Lainey, he has not eaten any crickets that I can tell for the past two days (one at the very most).

He is pooping daily in the same spot, and it's dark brown and a bit soft looking.

He came out of his moist box this morning before I left from work, and he's looking a bit duller than before. Could it be that he is about to shed?

hi
yes it could be,he should go white.
keep his moist box moist, but not soaked,
as long as it is moist,he should completly shed.
keep an eye on the toes as this can be a difficult one,
and if the old skin dries,he could loose a toe or two.
but don't panic i doubt this will happen.
in regards to the not eating.if this is his first shed,he will not eat much
as he is still feeding from his yolksac,
can you tell me,as near as you can how long is he
(as in inches )

that blooming spider !!!!!!!!!!!
ok i'm going to chance my arm.
i think he is going to shed his skin.the hard part is,is you might not see him do it !!!!
however a couple of things here(go make a cuppa lol)
if when you go home he is more white, and continues into tomorrow
doing the same,i think it should be shedding time.
he will look like chalk white an the skin should start to split,
he will eat his skin.
watch the poop.if it goes runny,he's having problems,and it's
something else.
ps.i know this is probably askin the impossible
but any chance of a sneeky up close picci ?

no worries,any time.
don't forget also, have a look around on the net,
there are some really nice gecko forums. !!
and the people there have heaps of knowlage,(i'm just
a beginner)
and are usually only too pleased to help.
they may advise a little trip to the vet.

Great news - you were right Willow. Charlie is in his moist box as I type this, and is very busy shedding his skin.

I'll have a close look when he's finished to make sure that it's complete - hopefully the humid conditions in there will help him along :)
